We spent the week in Phoenix for a business trip of mine. I agonized about leaving K while she was so young and my amazing husband took the week off work to come with me so the three of us could go. Thankfully the meetings I had were held at the hotel, so I could dash up to see them at lunch and during breaks and we had the evenings free for dinner together (on the bed, mostly) and walks.
The highlight of the trip was going out to the Desert Botanical gardens for sunset and a night walk. Keira fell asleep as soon as we got there and stared walking, so she slept in the stroller while we walked the park for an hour – they even have beer, wine and margaritas you can walk around with. When K woke up it was fully dark and she enjoyed watching the elaborate lights they have installed at the gardens.
